Moab - Just the Two of Us

Memorial Day Weekend David and I headed to Moab for some R&R....  well almost.  Aside from long hikes, mountain bike riding, tandem bike riding, more long hikes, and some of the most awesome rocks around, we filled up our buckets with a great time.

Day 1- We get into town and head back to Arches National Park for the 3 mile hike to Delicate Arch, following the cairns along red rocks.  David decided to take the scenic way back though.  Who needs cairns when there are so many plants to see and rocks to climb?  We ended up on top of a rock crest and wound our way down, through tall reeds, a little brush and finally back to the car - 5 miles later.

Holes within holes in rocks.                                          This one is called "3 Gossips"

Double Arch - notice the teeny people in the left arch.

Landscape Arch
Dead Horse Point - no fence to hold us back from the 1000 foot fall (scary)
Another Arch at the end of a couple mile hike through a beautiful canyon.
