We need a vote: Which one for Sr. Pic?

OK, Here are the possibilities for Sr. picture for Connor (his friend and fellow high school student, Emily, took these last week).  Leave your comments with your vote for which pictures you like the best - use the numbers next to the shots of this handsome devil.

Las Vegas Vet convention

We headed out to Hoover Dam for one morning during David's veterinary conference.  What an amazing structure.  I thought it interesting that all the concrete was poured with NO re-bar.  Apparently, the concrete continues to move as it is pushed into the canyon walls from the force of the water behind it. making it more strong.  If re-bar were in it, the movement would cause it to crack - not a good thing for one of the biggest dams in America.

We stayed at a swanky hotel in Vegas - this is a picture from the reception room for the workout place.  Man, were we pampered.

Galapagos

I know I have posted several things since we got back from the Galapagos Islands in April, but it takes a while to sort through 4,00 pictures (man, I wish I was exaggerating!).  The production is finally finished, so pop some popcorn and pull up a chair.  This was the dream trip for a veterinarian.  Amazing animals everywhere and each island was unique in topography, vegetation, water temperature and of course the ANIMALS.  Enjoy!

Great Moms

Everyone thinks they have a great mom - but I really do.  I have been lucky to be raised  by an outstanding, righteous, get-things-done, teacher, exemplar mom.  Her health has become a stumbling block to her ever serving nature in her twilight years and yet she still makes sure we get together often and keep family as the center of importance.  I love you mom!
I have been blessed with another mom the last 3 years.  What an example of work, smiling service, social connectedness, arms that encompass her existing grandchildren as well as the "new" set.  I love you!
I have to include past moms as well.  Gail Wood was my mother in law for 24 years and is still a great example.  When David had his surgery last February we stayed at her house in AZ.  She is pictured above with her oldest son, Kent, and his oldest daughter, Elizabeth.  While we were there we also visited with past sisters-in-laws and their spouses...

Soft and Gentle

We converged at the BYU rugby game yesterday (as a break from endless yardwork in the 85 degree weather).  Trevor road his bike over with McCoy on the back and was good about putting sunblock on him, but as it heated up to 90, he tried various methods to keep the sun from scorching his virgin scalp....
Oops, sun on the scalp
Aunt Nicole trying to keep him in the shade with treats in hand
The wet head band method (didn't make him too happy)
The extra shirt turned hat method!

Baby Girl?????

David says he will believe that he can have a grandDAUGHTER when he sees her in person.  After all, sometimes the sonogram is wrong. He had Five sons, and no girls.  It's hard to believe that the female variety can come from his posterity, but secretly he is overjoyed.  Brittany came into town last week for her baby shower.  She looks so cute. We are counting down the last weeks now until baby's arrival.

Bad Weather, Great Pictures

The entire family gathered to watch Trevor walk at graduation ceremonies at UVU (don't be fooled though, he still has to finish a few classes this summer before they will actually mail him a diploma).  I wanted a family picture and envisioned spending the next morning at Thanksgiving Point where the tulips are in bloom at the 55 acre gardens, but Mr. Weather thought it was funny to have it snow that morning - we are talking about the END of April and my patience has worn then with yo-yo spring weather.  Undaunted, we slipped into a neighbor's back yard and got a few good shots anyway.  How did I give birth to such good-looking kids?  (not prejudiced at all....)

The following are shots from this weekend and Easter weekend.

Don't think I don't love Kaden, but he is darn hard to get on camera.  He says "cheese" while looking somewhere else and moving a mile a minute.  Most of my shots of him are blurry...
Jessica's best friend, Andrea, got married this weekend as well.  She has counted as part of our family over the years and we were SO exited for her.  She had a simply gorgeous dress for a such a beautiful bride, and here is a hint for future brides:  she bought it second hand for a song.  Stunning.

Little Beckham (20 months) has been in physical therapy for several months now (diagnosed with benign hypotonia last summer by the pediatric neurologist at Primary's Children's Hospital) and we were delighted to see him crawl and pull himself up.  Walking is just around the corner.  HORRAY!!!

Nana B and Grandpa were in charge of the muchkins for one night while their Mom's and Dad's went out on the town.  This was the jammy party.  Kaden kept jumping off the desk, McCoy spun the chair, Ruby got Grandpa to toss her up and down, and Beckham watched it all like the referee.
Gotta LOVE 'em!!
