This has been a month of grandkids (the reward for surviving parenthood), with McCoy and Ruby spending time at the homestead while their parents were off to girls camp or recovering from surgery. It always takes a bit of time for little ones to warm up to me while their parents are there, but let them leave and we become the best of friends.

Whoever invented splash pads was a genius. Wet fun, no life guard, no pool upkeep, no wasted water (only runs when the button is pushed), and it seems to entertain all ages. Alpine just put in the BEST one ever.
At the end of the day, a bath, blanket, and Disney are a perfect ending.
