Cordaba

Cordaba was a delightful medieval town that had a training school for the Andalusian horses in what was once part of the palace.  These horses could prance with such a pretty gait.
This town was ruled for centuries by the Moors, who were the intellectuals of the day.  Like most mosques, the Christians came through and turned it into a cathedral... with one difference.  They left the mosque in place and built the cathedral around the original.
The Moorish arches are colorful
Here you can see how they cathedral part of the building was built around the Moorish arches... interesting.
The center of the edifice was still Catholic though
Back to the mix and match style
This was a statue of Moses Maimonides born in Cordoba in 1135.  David loves to read the things he wrote from clear back in his day. It is said that those who rub his foot have his wisdom rub off on them.  I think it works...
