Gathering the flocks... for a short while

Some of my favorite people have come to visit the homestead the last little while.  Jessica had tickets with her mom and sister to see Celtic Women (highly recommend this concert if you have the opportunity - Dave took me for my birthday last year), and we got to have a visit with the cute grandkiddles.  Kaden is good to say "cheese" when the camera is pointed, but he hates actually looking at the aperatice (so does Grandpa for that matter)

Next Connor, Nicole, and, I follow Jessica and the boys back to Colorado for a blitz Tasmanian whirlwind attack on their backyard.  Sprinklers, to be exact, along with a little basement organization.  Connor was the the main man, and I think we wore him out.  But true to his nature, he put on a smile and did all the heavy work, while the girls did the stuff that
didn't require as much muscle.
We even planted the potted Christmas tree with Matt's help.
All work and no play makes for drudgery, so I bought stuff for smores (a staple in life), and Kaden and I dragged all the boxes that had stacked up in the basement to make fuel for a bonfire.  As you can see, at the end of a day of work, dirty faces were the name of the game.  Jessica was afraid we might burn the house down with the first burst of flames, but we got it down to a manageable fire and restored her faith in us.
 Brothers.  Melts my heart.
Happy Birthday to Matt while we were there!

A few shots on the way back home.  This looks like a city in the distance, but it was actually the sun on a plateau in the distance.
