We traveled for miles with only olive trees in sight. Beautiful
I could take pictures all day long of this delightful town perched on a hilltop, with a wonderful bridge built in the 1700's, which is known as the New Bridge (because it replaced on older one that had fallen down). The bridge connected to old town of the Moors with the new town of the conquering Christians.Notice the elaborate patios built on the precipice to view the great gorge.
360 feet down, 20 feet wide.
The streets were lined with orange trees.
Ronda is the birthplace of modern bullfighting. Phillip II initiated bullfighting as a war training for the knights in the 1700's. This is the first bullring in Spain.
